The lamp of thy body is thine eye: when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when it is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.

Amplified® Bible
Your eye is the lamp of your body; when your eye (your conscience) is sound {and} fulfilling its office, your whole body is full of light; but when it is not sound {and} is not fulfilling its office, your body is full of darkness.

Contemporary English Version
Your eyes are the lamp for your body. When your eyes are good, you have all the light you need. But when your eyes are bad, everything is dark.

The lamp of the body is thine eye: when thine eye is simple, thy whole body also is light; but when it is wicked, thy body also is dark.
