sermonette: A Message of Thanks
Background to the Opening of the New Building
John W. Ritenbaugh
Given 13-Aug-05; Sermon #733sb; 23 minutes
After giving warm thanks for the individuals who helped launch the new building for the Church of the Great God, John Ritenbaugh, focusing upon Psalm 10:4 and II Corinthians 13:5, insists that what separates God's true children from others is that He is continually in their thoughts, allowing them to see evidence of Him working in their lives, seeing significance in events that to others look merely coincidental. By searching Scripture, listening to sermons, and rigorously examining themselves in the light of His Word, God's true children actively seek His direction in their lives, finding evidence of His work in them. Since the signature sermon in 1992, "Do You See God," and even in the last several months, incidents involving recurring numerological patterns indicate that God has involved Himself in the most minute details of the church's operations and may provide clues to its future direction. Every blessing God gives comes with the responsibility to glorify Him.
