sermonette: The Faith of Joseph

Confidence In God's Word
David C. Grabbe
Given 02-Sep-06; Sermon #791s; 16 minutes

Description: (hide)

Joseph received less criticism and more praise than any other figure in the Bible. Joseph was born into a highly stressful family situation with half brothers who resented him because he was the favorite of his father. Joseph had integrity when Potiphar's wife tried to seduce him. Joseph was looked upon with favor by the prison guards, and later with the Pharaoh, becoming second in command. Joseph believed in the resurrection, giving unambiguous instructions for his bones to be carried to Shechem.
