The Day of Atonement allows us to experience a quality we must display in our relationship with God, feeling as humble as Job felt as he went through his trials. The messages we receive from scripture must be received with humility and mixed with faith. The attitude we present with our offerings also must be given in humility. Our sacrifices must be given at a cost, like the cost to the woman who anointed Jesus and wiped his feet with her hair.
