sermonette: Fulfillment of the Law

The Law's Impact on the Days of Unleavened Bread
Martin G. Collins
Given 31-Mar-07; Sermon #820s; 17 minutes

Description: (hide)

Mainstream Christianity falsely asserts that God's law has been done away, making it totally unnecessary to keep the Days of Unleavened Bread. The apostle Paul reminds us to keep the Days of Unleavened Bread, putting away the old leaven in favor of the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. In Matthew 5:18, Jesus Christ unequivocally asserted that until Heaven and earth pass away, not one jot or tittle would be eliminated from God's Law. In Matthew 19:17, Jesus Christ also charged us that whosoever would enter into eternal life must keep the law. The misconception about the 'end' of the law indicates that Christ had demonstrated both the letter and fulfillment of the law, indicating that we must emulate Him with the help of God's Holy Spirit.
