sermonette: Peace in the Storm

Trusting God Has Not Forsaken Us
Ted E. Bowling
Given 28-Apr-07; Sermon #826s; 12 minutes

Description: (hide)

Even as the meteorological reports for the past several weeks have been quite lively, many people are going through physical, psychological, and spiritual storms in their personal lives. God wants us to have peace in the middle of our tempests. The episode in Mark 4:35-41, as Christ reposed in the middle of a violent storm, indicates the kind of peace we are to have in the midst of our trials. We are to keep our focus on God and our ultimate goal in the middle of our trials or difficulties. We, like the disciples on this stormy sea, need to learn that God will carry us through any trial our test.
