sermonette: What Might It Do for You?

Reasoning with God
Martin G. Collins
Given 09-Feb-08; Sermon #867s; 19 minutes

Description: (hide)

Can a physical human being get God to change His mind, or even to reason with Him? As modern Israel has abortion-blood on its hands and allows itself to become contaminated by strangers (illegal aliens and terrorist religions), it becomes harder for God to answer intercessory prayers in behalf of His wayward people. Nevertheless, the remnant is encouraged to come and reason with God, pleading the case before a sympathetic judge, desirous for the wicked to repent, learning to do good and learning to plead for the downtrodden and to seek righteousness. As we intercede on behalf of modern Israel, we must realize to ask according to God's will, realizing that secular progressive culture eats away at the morals of this country like a malignant cancer. Abraham pleaded on behalf of Sodom, and Moses pleaded on behalf of Israel when their future seemed hopeless. We must have the same compassion and concern for our country.
