sermonette: Je Suis Reconnaissant

Maintaining a Gratitude Attitude
Bill Onisick
Given 20-Sep-08; Sermon #901s; 19 minutes

Description: (hide)

If we become focused on our stresses and trials, we will not count our blessings, automatically giving into Satan's spirit and power of the air. We need to, in the words of Robert Emmons in his book Thanks, develop a "gratitude attitude," an effortful state to maintain, but with practice becomes a lasting condition providing physiological and psychological benefits as well as God's grace and inner spiritual peace. God chose us, predestining us from the foundation of the earth, to receive His spiritual gifts and enter His family. If we recognize our great blessings and our priceless calling, we will maintain a "gratitude attitude."
