sermonette: What Do We Fear The Most?

Bill Onisick
Given 18-Oct-08; Sermon #FT08-09s; 21 minutes

Description: (hide)

We should be fearful of losing out on God's eternal rest and the privilege of becoming God's people (Hebrews 4:1). The covenant renewal we experience annually at the Feast of Tabernacles is every bit as solemn as the covenant made at Mount Sinai. We dare not transfer our fear of the Lord to a fear of man or the world, having a toxic misdirected fear, but instead we should follow Joshua's example of not turning from to the left or right, but continue to fear God and keeping His Law, repenting from our sins, having our hearts and minds circumcised, avoiding the fearful curses accrued from disobedience.
