Footwear is a critical part of a soldier's equipment, giving the ability to stand. In the armor analogy, the gospel of peace constitutes the protective shoes, enabling God's army to go on long arduous marches. Footwork need to provide maneuverability or the ability to turn. The gospel of peace gives us our balance and foundation giving us the ability to endure the world, blocking strife and anger, until the kingdom come. We need to be ready for Satan's perennial attacks, defending ourselves from the prince and power of the air by means of the protection of the Prince of Peace.
