sermonette: One of the Greatest Truths

Difficulty in the Christian Life
Bill Onisick
Given 06-Aug-11; Sermon #1060s; 17 minutes

Description: (hide)

While the spiritual way is narrow and difficult, we must not let down, desiring to have things easier. If we accept that life is difficult, it will not seem so foreboding when we face trials, difficulties, and tough times. We are on the road less travelled—the straight road to eternal life. It is vital for young people, especially Christian young people, to make themselves valuable and irreplaceable because the world has given them plenty of obstacles. Life is difficult for everyone, but even more difficult for people in God's church. A Christian's life is harder, but then we get to live eternally. All things (even the suffering and frustrations) work together for good for those who love God. We must expect the present life to be difficult, but then anticipate that the rewards will outstrip the frustrations.
