sermonette: Satan's Secret Weapon

Overcoming Insecurity
Bill Onisick
Given 10-Sep-11; Sermon #1065s; 19 minutes

Description: (hide)

The great deceiver, Satan the devil, has duped many into thinking that insecurity is a form of humility. While both humility and insecurity may lead us to regard others as better than ourselves, that is where the similarity ends. Self-doubt, shyness, and lack of confidence are traits to avoid; they are more related to pride than to humility. The antidote to insecurity is to clothe ourselves in humility as a bondservant, casting all our cares on Jesus Christ. We need to replace the Satan-inspired self-focus to the Christ-centered God-focus. If we have perfect love, we will lose our fears. Satan uses seeds of insecurity to divide us from our brethren.
