sermonette: Money Answers All

Money Has Shortcomings
John W. Ritenbaugh (1932-2023)
Given 29-Sep-11; Sermon #1068As; 24 minutes

Description: (hide)

The Scriptures are replete with references to money, which often represents power to control and shelter from trials. Wealth with wisdom is a powerful combination, but wealth coupled with foolishness can be a curse. Coveting money produces sorrow, vanity, and frustration, and robs from the quality, joy, and purpose of life. Money is a tool and can be used for good if one has Godly wisdom; it has no value in attaining spiritual goals such as our calling, our salvation, and the Kingdom of God. Money only has value if we use it responsibly, indicating to God Almighty that we can handle power. God can make predictive estimates as to how we can use power in the Kingdom of God by observing how we handle the wealth He has given us to manage. In God's Kingdom, character will be legal tender.
