sermonette: Is the Church Solely Preaching God's Truth?

God Uses Whom He Wants
John W. Ritenbaugh
Given 22-Sep-12; Sermon #1122s; 17 minutes

Description: (hide)

Since God has the ultimate responsibility for scattering the church, no one splinter group should presume that they are the only ones "doing the work" or "preaching the Gospel." God is Sovereign and can choose anyone to further the Gospel, even those we might consider "outside" of the greater church of God, which does not have exclusive bragging rights about the Sabbath or Holy days. To cling to this assumption limits God's sovereignty. As Elijah had to learn, God had reserved 7000 in another location who were capable of "doing the work," metaphorical sheep in other folds, we, or any other splinter group, have no bragging rights coming to us.
