sermonette: God's Way of FOR-GIVE

Forgiveness and Agape Love
Bill Onisick
Given 27-Oct-12; Sermon #1127s; 16 minutes

Description: (hide)

Love of our brethren denotes our identity as God's children. If we want to take on the characteristics of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, we must take on the self-sacrificing trait of being willing to lay down our lives for our brother. Forbearance and forgiveness seem to encapsulate the multiple definitions of love in I Corinthians. God should know us through our love and ability to forgive. Our diverse backgrounds give cause for offense, but God's Spirit should lead us to forgive and develop the way of give. If we want to be known as God's disciples, we must practice love to all our brethren.
