This world is steeped in paganism and our spiritual journey leads us right through Babylon. We are admonished to come out of Babylon, not becoming distracted by the futile customs or holidays of the world's cultures. Also indicative of the pagan influence is architecture as seen in obelisks, church steeples, and pyramids—phallic symbols to pagan gods. We have been cautioned to walk the narrow path which God has illuminated for us, steering clear of these ubiquitous influences, keeping our mind focused on our spiritual destination.
