sermonette: Mercy Triumphs Over Judgment

Becoming Like our Father of Mercies
Bill Onisick
Given 26-Apr-19; Sermon #1484s-PM; 17 minutes

Description: (hide)

Mercy eclipses any kind of sacrifice one may offer, triumphing over judgement (James 2:13). Christ warns God's called-out ones not to emulate the leaven of the Pharisees (Matthew 16:6), which at heart constitutes prideful, hypocritical, merciless judgment. Through Christ's mercy, we are able to come to the Throne of Grace with boldness and confidence (Hebrews 4:16). As we conclude the Days of Unleavened Bread, let us consume the Bread of Life every day, enabling us to overcome our carnality and take on the traits of Our Savior, namely mercy and longsuffering.
