sermonette: It's Worth the Wait

Ryan McClure
Given 30-Sep-23; Sermon #FT23-01PMs; 16 minutes

Description: (hide)

In Psalm 37:4, we are admonished to patiently wait for the Lord, with the promise that those who trust God's timetable will eventually inherit the earth. In this current satanically influenced world, we are surrounded by evil doers, but must exercise the patience of the Psalmist David (Psalm 40:1) as we are immersed in our trials. Waiting is difficult at best, but we are reminded that the end of a thing (trial, test) is better than the beginning (Ecclesiastes 7:8) and the sufferings we currently endure are not worthy to be compared to our spiritual reward (Romans 8:18-25). Hopefully, none of us are not on the verge of giving up, but continue to be steadfast, whether we die in the faith or destined to rise as part of the first resurrection.
