sermonette: Armor of Light

Reflecting God's Light
Bill Onisick
Given 03-Apr-21; Sermon #1591s-PM; 17 minutes

Description: (hide)

The Wavesheaf Offering typifies God's acceptance of His Son's sacrifice and thereby permitting the children of Light to become a royal priesthood. Jesus Christ's transfiguration (Matthew 17:9, Luke 9:29) demonstrates how Christ appears in His Kingdom (Matthew 16:28) and hence provides a glimpse of how those children of Light will look at their glorification (I John 3:2). In the meantime, God commands His people to walk in the light, radiating the unfathomable brilliance of the Father and Son Who are within them (I John 1:7, Hebrews 1:3). God's people must stand out as beacons of light (Matthew 5:16) in the darkness of this world, a royal priesthood called out of darkness into God's marvelous light.
