sermonette: Rejoice and Serve!

Proper Use of Second Tithe at the Feast
Bill Onisick
Given 08-Oct-22; Sermon #1676s; 16 minutes

Description: (hide)

The Feast of Booths or the Feast of Tabernacles represents a time when over 200 sacrifices are to be offered, none of them within our gates, but in a place in which God has designated so that His called-out ones can fear God always. Consuming second tithe is understood to be for foodstuffs, for entertaining spiritual siblings, and making them happy and joyful. We are called to sacrifice, emphasizing physical service, a time we can share our physical blessings with God's people rather than selfishly consume them for our own fleeting pleasures. The more we give and share, the more God's love will flow out, bringing us maximum joy.
