And David perceived that Jehovah had established him king over Israel; for his kingdom was exalted on high, for his people Israel's sake.

And David perceived that the Lord had established {and} confirmed him as king over Israel, for his kingdom was exalted highly for His people Israel's sake.

Contemporary English Version
David now knew that the LORD had made him a powerful king of Israel for the good of his people.

And David perceived that Jehovah had established him king over Israel, for his kingdom was highly exalted, because of his people Israel.
