Nevertheless they were disobedient, and rebelled against thee, and cast thy law behind their back, and slew thy prophets that testified against them to turn them again unto thee, and they wrought great provocations.

Amplified® Bible
Yet they were disobedient and rebelled against You and cast Your law behind their back and killed Your prophets who accused {and} warned them to turn to You again; and they committed great {and} contemptible blasphemies.

Contemporary English Version
In spite of this, they rebelled and disobeyed your laws. They killed your prophets, who warned them to turn back to you, and they cursed your name.

But they were disobedient, and rebelled against thee, and cast thy law behind their backs, and slew thy prophets who testified against them to turn them to thee, and they wrought great provocations.
