Shall his recompense be as thou wilt, that thou refusest it? For thou must choose, and not I: Therefore speak what thou knowest.

Amplified® Bible
Should [God's] recompense [for your sins] be as you will it, when you refuse to accept it? For you must do the choosing, and not I; therefore say what is your truthful conclusion.

Contemporary English Version
Do you make the rules, or does God? You have to decide-- I can't do it for you; now make up your mind.

Darby English Version
Shall he recompense according to thy mind? for thou hast refused [his judgment]; for thou so choosest, and not I; speak then what thou knowest.

Good News Bible
Since you object to what God does, can you expect him to do what you want? The decision is yours, not mine; tell us now what you think.

King James Version
Should it be according to thy mind? he will recompense it, whether thou refuse, or whether thou choose; and not I: therefore speak what thou knowest.

New American Standard Bible

so tell me what you know.

New King James Version
Should He repay it according to your terms,
Just because you disavow it?
You must choose, and not I;
Therefore speak what you know.

N.A.S.B. in E-Prime
