Job 37:13

Job 37:13

11 Also with moisture He saturates the thick clouds;
He scatters His¹ bright clouds.

12 And they swirl about, being turned by His guidance,
That they may ^ado whatever He commands them
On the face of¹ the whole earth.

13 ^aHe causes it to come,
Whether for¹ correction,
Or ^bfor His land,
Or ^cfor mercy.

14 “Listen to this, O Job;
Stand still and ^aconsider the wondrous works of God.

15 Do you know when God¹ dispatches them,
And causes the light of His cloud to shine?

16 ^aDo you know how the clouds are balanced,
Those wondrous works of ^bHim who is perfect in knowledge?

Job 37:14 >>

Correction - To scourge or correct men by immoderate showers. Earth - The whole earth, which is said to be the Lord's, Psalms 24:1, Psalms 50:12, and so this may denote a general judgment by excessive rains inflicted upon the earth, and all its inhabitants, even the universal deluge, which came in great measure out of the clouds. Mercy - For the benefit of mankind and for the cooling of the air and improving the fruits of the earth.
