Psalm 2:6-9
Excerpted from: Psalm Genres (Part Three B): Messianic (continued)

We can also see a parallel back in Psalm 2, of verse 2 here in Psalm 110. I just want verses 6 through 9, where we have another Messianic prophecy that verifies this one. The Father says, that is, He who is in heaven, says,

So these two scriptures, two passages, say essentially the same thing, just the one in Psalm 110:2 is a little bit more concise, but they are talking about the same time, the same activities, when the Son is on His throne and He begins to fight against His enemies.

Psalm 2:5-9
Excerpted from: Psalm Genres (Part Three): Messianic

Psalm 2. This is definitely a coronation song. Let us just pick it up in verse 5.
