Prayer with Confidence in Final Salvation

A Prayer of David.

1 Hear a just cause, O Lord,
Attend to my cry;
Give ear to my prayer which is not from deceitful lips.
2 Let my vindication come from Your presence;
Let Your eyes look on the things that are upright.
3 You have1 tested my heart;
You have visited me in the night;
aYou have tried me and have found2 nothing;
I have purposed that my mouth shall not btransgress.
4 Concerning the works of men,
By the word of Your lips,
I have kept away from the paths of the destroyer.

Psalms 17:2

My sentence come forth from thy presence - Thou knowest my heart, and my ways; judge me as thou shalt find; let me not fall under the judgment of man.

Let thine eyes behold the things that are equal - Thou knowest whether I render to all their due, and whether others act justly by me. Thou canst not be deceived: do justice between me and my adversaries.
