For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Neither hath he hid his face from him; But when he cried unto him, he heard.

For He has not despised or abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither has He hidden His face from him, but when he cried to Him, He heard.

Contemporary English Version
The LORD doesn't hate or despise the helpless in all of their troubles. When I cried out, he listened and did not turn away.
