In thee, O Jehovah, do I take refuge; Let me never be put to shame: Deliver me in thy righteousness.

IN YOU, O Lord, do I put my trust {and} seek refuge; let me never be put to shame {or} [have my hope in You] disappointed; deliver me in Your righteousness!

(A psalm by David for the music leader.) I come to you, LORD, for protection. Don't let me be ashamed. Do as you have promised and rescue me.
