Psalms 31:6

4 Pull me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me,
For You are my strength.

5 ^aInto Your hand I commit my spirit;
You have redeemed me, O Lord God of ^btruth.

6 I have hated those ^awho regard useless idols;
But I trust in the Lord.

7 I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy,
For You have considered my trouble;
You have ^aknown my soul in adversities,

8 And have not ^ashut me up into the hand of the enemy;
^bYou have set my feet in a wide place.

Psalms 31:6

I have hated them - That is, I have abominated their ways. Idolaters are the persons of whom David speaks.

I trust in the Lord - While they trust in vanities vain things; (for an idol is nothing in the worid); and in lying vanities; (for much is promised and nothing given); I trust in Jehovah, who is God all-sufficient, and is my Shepherd, and therefore I shall lack no good thing.
