Thou didst drive out the nations with thy hand; But them thou didst plant: Thou didst afflict the peoples; But them thou didst spread abroad.

Amplified® Bible
You drove out the nations with Your hand {and} it was Your power that gave [Israel] a home by rooting out the [heathen] peoples, but [Israel] You spread out.

Contemporary English Version
You chased off the nations by causing them trouble with your powerful arm. Then you let our ancestors take over their land.

Darby English Version
Thou, by thy hand, didst dispossess the nations, but them thou didst plant; thou didst afflict the peoples, but them didst thou cause to spread out.
