American Standard Version
They search out iniquities; We have accomplished, `say they', a diligent search: And the inward thought and the heart of every one is deep.

Amplified® Bible
They think out acts of injustice and say, We have accomplished a well-devised thing! For the inward thought of each one [is unsearchable] and his heart is deep.

Contemporary English Version
They make evil plans and say, "We'll commit a perfect crime. No one knows our thoughts."

Darby English Version
They devise iniquities: We have it ready, the plan is diligently sought out. And each one's inward [thought] and heart is deep.

Good News Bible
They make evil plans and say, "We have planned a perfect crime." The human heart and mind are a mystery.

King James Version
They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.

New American Standard Bible
They devise injustices, {saying,} "We are ready with a well-conceived plot; For the inward thought and the heart of a man are deep."

New International Version
They plot injustice and say,
"We have devised a perfect plan!"
Surely the mind and heart of man are cunning.

They search out perverse things, `We perfected a searching search,' And the inward part of man, and the heart `are' deep.
