Psalm 72:1-4
Excerpted from: Government (Part Five)

Psalm 72:1-4 Give the king Your judgments, O God [Remember that David is requesting these things for Solomon], and Your righteousness to the king's Son. [The king was David. The son was Solomon.] He will judge Your people with righteousness, and Your poor with justice [or, "fairness", "evenhandedness", "equity"]. The mountains will bring peace to the people [that is, if the ruler is judging, or dealing in, righteousness], and the little hills, by righteousness. He will bring justice to the poor of the people; He will save the children of the needy, and will break in pieces the oppressor.

Psalm 72:1-19
Excerpted from: Until Shiloh Comes
