Psalms 72:5

3 ^aThe mountains will bring peace to the people,
And the little hills, by righteousness.

4 ^aHe will bring justice to the poor of the people;
He will save the children of the needy,
And will¹ break in pieces the oppressor.

5 ¹They shall fear You
^aAs long as the sun and moon endure,
Throughout all generations.

6 ^aHe shall come down like rain upon the grass before mowing,
Like showers that water the earth.

7 In His days the righteous shall flourish,
^aAnd abundance of peace,
Until the moon is no more.

Psalms 72:5

They shall fear thee - There is no sense in which this can be spoken of Solomon, nor indeed of any other man: it belongs to Jesus Christ, and to him alone. He is the Prance of peace, who shall be feared and reverenced "through all generations, and as long as the sun and moon endure."
