Psalms 83:16
Compare all
14 As the fire burns the woods,
And as the flame asets the mountains on fire,
15 So pursue them with Your tempest,
And frighten them with Your storm.
16 Fill their faces with shame,
That they may seek Your name, O Lord.
17 Let them be1 confounded and dismayed forever;
Yes, let them be put to shame and perish,
18 aThat they may know that You, whose bname alone is the Lord,
Are cthe Most High over all the earth.

Psalms 83:16

that they may seek—or as Psalms 83:18, supply "men," since Psalms 83:17-18 amplify the sentiment of Psalms 83:16, expressing more fully the measure of destruction, and the lesson of God's being and perfections (compare II Chronicles 20:29) taught to all men.
