Promised Faithfulness to the Lord
A Psalm of David.
Oh, when will You come to me?
I will awalk within my house with a perfect heart.
aI hate the work of those bwho fall away;
It shall not cling to me.
Him I will destroy;
aThe one who has a haughty look and a proud heart,
Him I will not endure.
That they may dwell with me;
He who walks in a1 perfect way,
He shall serve me.
He who tells lies shall not1 continue in my presence.
That I may cut off all the evildoers bfrom the city of the Lord.

Psalms 101:2
In this Psalm the profession of the principles of his domestic and political government testifies, as well as actions in accordance with it, David's appreciation of God's mercy to him, and His judgment on his enemies: and thus he sings or celebrates God's dealings. (Psalms 101:1-8)
He avows his sincere purpose, by God's aid, to act uprightly (Genesis 17:1; Psalms 18:30).
