5 Hungry and thirsty,
Their soul fainted in them.
6 aThen they cried out to the Lord in their trouble,
And He delivered them out of their distresses. 
7 And He led them forth by the aright way,
That they might go to a city for a dwelling place. 
8 aOh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness,
And for His wonderful works to the children of men! 
9 For aHe satisfies the longing soul,
And fills the hungry soul with goodness. 
10 Those who asat in darkness and in the shadow of death,
bBound1 in affliction and irons— 
11 Because they arebelled against the words of God,
And1 despised bthe counsel of the Most High,

Psalms 107:7

That they might go to a city of habitation - God stirred up the heart of Cyrus to give them liberty to return to their own land: and Zerubbabel, Ezra, and Nehemiah, at different times, brought many of them back to Judea.
