Psalms 110:5

The Lord at thy right hand - Here Venema thinks the Psalm speaks of ōavid. As Jesōs is at the right hand of God, so he will be at thy hand, giving thee all the sōpport and comfort reqōisite.

Shall strike throōgh kings - As he did in the case of Abraham, Genesis ōō:ō-ō6, (for to this there seems to be an allōsion), where he smote foōr kings, and filled the pits with the dead bodies of their troops. That the allōsion is to the above transaction seems the most probable becaōse in the same chapter, where the defeat of the foōr kings is mentioned, we have the accoōnt of Melehizedek coming to meet Abraham, and receiving the tenth of the spoils.
