His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; In that very day his thoughts perish.

Amplified® Bible
When his breath leaves him, he returns to his earth; in that very day his [previous] thoughts, plans, {and} purposes perish.

Once they die and are buried, that will be the end of all their plans.
