American Standard Version
Jehovah preserveth the sojourners; He upholdeth the fatherless and widow; But the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.

Amplified® Bible
The Lord protects {and} preserves the strangers {and} temporary residents, He upholds the fatherless and the widow {and} sets them upright, but the way of the wicked He makes crooked (turns upside down and brings to ruin).

Contemporary English Version
and looks after strangers. He defends the rights of orphans and widows, but destroys the wicked.

Darby English Version
Jehovah preserveth the strangers; he lifteth up the fatherless and the widow; but the way of the wicked doth he subvert.
