Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, Seeing thou art come into the hand of thy neighbor: Go, humble thyself, and importune thy neighbor;

Amplified® Bible
Do this now [at once and earnestly], my son, and deliver yourself when you have put yourself into the power of your neighbor; go, bestir {and} humble yourself, and beg your neighbor [to pay his debt and thereby release you].

Contemporary English Version
and you are now in the power of someone else. Here is what you should do: Go and beg for permission to call off the agreement.

Darby English Version
Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, since thou hast come into the hand of thy friend: go, humble thyself, and be urgent with thy friend.

Good News Bible
Well then, my child, you are in that person's power, but this is how to get out of it: hurry to him, and beg him to release you.

King James Version
Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when thou art come into the hand of thy friend; go, humble thyself, and make sure thy friend.
