27 He who earnestly seeks good¹ finds favor,
^aBut trouble will come to him who seeks evil.

28 ^aHe who trusts in his riches will fall,
But ^bthe righteous will flourish like foliage.

29 He who troubles his own house ^awill inherit the wind,
And the fool will be ^bservant to the wise of heart.

30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life,
And ^ahe who wins souls is wise.

31 ^aIf the righteous will be¹ recompensed on the earth,
How much more the ungodly and the sinner.

Troubleth - He who brings trouble upon himself and children, either by prodigality, or by restless endeavours to heap up riches. Wind - Shall be as unable to keep what he gets as a man is to hold the wind in his hand.
