A scoffer seeketh wisdom, and `findeth it' not; But knowledge is easy unto him that hath understanding.

Amplified® Bible
A scoffer seeks Wisdom in vain [for his very attitude blinds and deafens him to it], but knowledge is easy to him who [being teachable] understands.

Contemporary English Version
Make fun of wisdom, and you will never find it. But if you have understanding, knowledge comes easily.

A scorner seeketh wisdom, and there is none [for him]; but knowledge is easy unto the intelligent.
