I would like us to consider that word “armies,” as it is translated in Exodus 6:26 and 7:4. This same word is translated “hosts,” as in God’s heavenly hosts of angels is tsaba, a mass of persons, especially regimented and organized for war (as an army); by implication, a campaign, literally or figuratively (specifically hardship; worship).
