Proverbs 27:17
Excerpted from: Sharpening Our Spiritual ToolsOur tools must be sharpened. Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.” Ecclesiastes 10:10 says, “If the axe is dull more strength is needed, but skill will bring success.” If the axe is dull, it requires more effort, less result. But a sharp axe requires less effort with greater impact.
Proverbs 27:17
Excerpted from: What Is Prayer? This is another indication from the Scripture that when we are in the companionship and the fellowship of others, we tend to shape each other. Another way of putting it is that we rub off on each other.
