The prince that lacketh understanding is also a great oppressor; `But' he that hateth covetousness shall prolong his days.

Amplified® Bible
A ruler who lacks understanding is [like a wicked one] a great oppressor, but he who hates covetousness {and} unjust gain shall prolong his days.

A heartless leader is a fool, but anyone who refuses to get rich by cheating others will live a long time.
