In Ecclesiastes 4:1-3, he says the world shows a long history of oppression—the strong oppressing the weak. Regardless of when people live their lives, their lives are only relatively better or worse. In other words, you really would not improve your life by going back to the time of Solomon. You would not improve your life by going back to the time of Christ; or going back to the Renaissance; or going back to the 1800s; or going back to the Wild West.
