American Standard Version
And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbor: the child shall behave himself proudly against the old man, and the base against the honorable.

Amplified® Bible
And the people shall be oppressed, each one by another, and each one by his neighbor; the child shall behave himself proudly {and} with insolence against the old man, and the lowborn against the honorable [person of rank].

Contemporary English Version
You will each be cruel to friends and neighbors. Young people will insult their elders; no one will show respect to those who deserve it.

Darby English Version
And the people shall be oppressed one by the other, and each by his neighbour; the child will be insolent against the elder, and the base against the honourable.

Good News Bible
Everyone will take advantage of everyone else. Young people will not respect their elders, and worthless people will not respect their superiors.
