American Standard Version
Therefore my people are gone into captivity for lack of knowledge; and their honorable men are famished, and their multitude are parched with thirst.

Amplified® Bible
Therefore My people go into captivity [to their enemies] without knowing it {and} because they have no knowledge [of God]. And their honorable men [their glory] are famished, and their common people are parched with thirst.

Contemporary English Version
and so his people know nothing about him. That's why many of you will be dragged off to foreign lands. Your leaders will starve to death, and everyone else will suffer from thirst.

Darby English Version
Therefore my people are led away captive from lack of knowledge, and their nobility die of famine, and their multitude are parched with thirst.

Good News Bible
and so you will be carried away as prisoners. Your leaders will starve to death, and the common people will die of thirst.

King James Version
Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.
