American Standard Version
And the rivers shall become foul; the streams of Egypt shall be diminished and dried up; the reeds and flags shall wither away.

Amplified® Bible
And the rivers shall become foul, the streams {and} canals of Egypt shall be diminished and dried up, the reeds and the rushes shall wither {and} rot away.

Contemporary English Version
Its streams will stink, Egypt will have no water, and the reeds and tall grass will dry up.

Darby English Version
and the rivers shall stink, and the streams of Egypt shall be diminished and drain away: the reeds and sedges shall wither.

Good News Bible
The channels of the river will stink as they slowly go dry. Reeds and rushes will wither,

King James Version
And they shall turn the rivers far away; and the brooks of defence shall be emptied and dried up: the reeds and flags shall wither.

New American Standard Bible
The canals will emit a stench, The streams of Egypt will thin out and dry up; The reeds and rushes will rot away.

The canals will stink;
the streams of Egypt will dwindle and dry up.
