Because he trusteth in thee "Because they have trusted in thee" - So the Chaldee, betacho . The Syriac and Vulgate read batachnu , "we have trusted. "Schroeder, Gram. Hebrews p. 360, explains the present reading batuach , impersonally, confisum est .
